Wines
At Reynvaan Family Vineyards we believe that 90% of a great wine is made in the vineyard. Our inaugural 2007 vintage comes exclusively from the first five acres planted at our “In the Rocks” vineyard in the Walla Walla Valley. “In the Rocks” is planted with an array of clones and rootstocks that allows us to have great flexibility with our Syrah wines. The vineyard is one of the most densely planted vineyards in the state which forces the vines to struggle for nutrients and produce fewer, more concentrated clusters per vine.
We work hard to ensure that each wine from Reynvaan Family Vineyards reflects the dedication and passion we put into every cluster of grapes. From working the land, to pruning shoots, to dropping fruit in order to achieve extraordinary low yields, every task is completed with precise detail. Only by focusing intensely on every detail will each cluster we harvest have the possibility of becoming a wine of immense complexity and flavor.
We feel very fortunate to have 2007 be our inaugural vintage, a vintage which some regard as the finest Washington vintage on record. In Walla Walla, hot summer weather conditions made it ideal to properly ripen our fruit. In September, conditions began to cool down which allowed the fruit to retain great acidity and freshness.
Reynvaan Family Vineyards is proud to present our inaugural wines which are limited to only several hundred cases:
